Fleur de Vache
Fleur de Vache is an eau de toilette with a tincture of cow manure as its main ingredient.
I discovered the smell of cow manure when I drove through Friesland (Dutch province) in the summer with the windows open and wondered why the warm summer air smelled so much like ambergris.
Ambergris is a perfume material from the digestive tracts of a sperm whale, it is one of the most expensive perfume substances.
The answer was cow dung. The scent of a cowshed in late summer characterises this eau de toilette. Notes of bitter orange and lavender harmonize with the invigorating sensation of dry cow manure. The whole is fixed with synthetic ambergris.
